sent me 17 luscious red roses (my favorites) for Valentine's day, which was the sweetest thing ever. The heat here is pretty bad, so some of the roses kind of bend a little, for which I had to revive them by putting them on the bathtube to straighten them up again. And I had to take the chance to get a couple of shots.

I think some ended up pretty good, despite the lack of proffesionalism on my account and the poor use of saving properties. Which I hate because I simply cannot understand it, but that's besides the point.

One day, I'll be able to offer something better with my limited skills.

Yay, first big scale proyect I make with my own art. A series of profiles from the X London RPG [link] (a game inspired on X by the mangaka group CLAMP) . It started with one of the female characters (out of the 17... or 20. I lost count now >< and from there I got a major idea about the 2 typical "bad guys, good guys" teams from the game, the Dragons of Heaven and the Dragons of Earth. Not at all for those not knowing, guro is a Japanese term used for bloody, graphically violent images that contain human parts exposed. If you check my last addition to my gallery, you might think I've gotten myself into that, but nooo It took a big effort for me to not puke at the surgery photos I had to use to make the edition.

Then, why did I do it? The logical question I can find in my head is that I wanted to express something in a more realistic, deeper way. Something -real-. Something that could be represented with the most intimate the human being has in its system: body, flesh, blood. It was a deep emotion I had in me, and I felt the urge to plaster it on some kind of graphic.

I love photo edition, and I think this is an interesting experiment. It demands hours of work (at least for me). Plus, I like challenging myself from time to time
